The Rising Stars High School Basketball League (RSHSBL) is a competitive high school travel basketball league for boys in 9th-12th grade in the Twin Cities metro area during the winter season.  This league is designed for players who did not make their high school basketball team (or had previously played youth travel basketball) and want to continue playing at a high level and competing against others throughout the Twin Cities metro region. 

This 2024-2025 RSHSBL season will have three class levels of competition: 

1) Freshman Level

2) Sophomore Level

3) Upperclassmen Level

There are two ways to register:  

1) As an individual player, who is then placed on an internal Rising Stars team. This option provides players with a Developmental Coach assigned to each team as support (Dev Coaches are retired head HS coaches and/or current assistant coaches).  Please note, if you have a fully intact team and would like to play as a Rising Stars team, each player will need to register individually and indicate the player is part of a group/team in the registration.    

2)  As a fully "Intact Team" through one of the RSHSBL approved community associations &/or sport organizations (see the most current list on this page).  

• Three Competitive Divisions:
  • Freshmen Level (9th Graders Only)
  • Sophomore Level (10th Graders Only)
  • Upperclassmen Level (Grades 10-12)
• League Game Dates:  Jan 5, 12, 19, 26, Feb 2, 9 & 16
  • Game Locations:  Blaine, St. Louis Park, White Bear Lake, Hastings, Rosemount, Apple Valley & Farmington
    • This is a High School TRAVEL League   
  • Teams play a total of 12 League Games
    • 2 games guaranteed on the dates you play  
    • Teams will play on six of the seven possible weekends
• Playoff Games:  Feb 22 & 23
  • Single Game Elimination Playoffs
  • Consolation Bracket plays on Saturday, Feb 22
  • Championship Bracket plays on Sunday, Feb 23
• League & Playoff games will be televised on www.MYAS.TV  
• All-Star Game will be held on Sunday, March 2 . 

There are two ways to register: 

INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS

Registered players will be placed on a Rising Stars team.  Players can request other players, and teams will be formed by high school geographic location.  Players/Teams will receive:

• 16+ Practices & Clinics
• 3 Todd Dufault Leadership Sessions
• Uniform
• Volunteer Head Coach
• Assigned Developmental Coach
• 12 Regular Season Games, plus 1 single elimination playoff game. Includes officials, courts & medical on site.  
• YMCA guest passes
• Free MYAS.TV RSHSBL Game Access

Registration is now open.  Price per player is $400.

Please note: If you have a fully intact team and would like to play as a Rising Stars team, each player will need to register individually and indicate the player is part of a group/team in the registration.    This season, we will list teams by community (ex: Rising Stars Minnetonka).

Teams will receive:

• 12 Regular Season Games, plus 1 single elimination playoff game. Registration includes:

  • Free MYAS.TV RSHSBL Game Access
