POWERED BY ARCTIC MECHANICAL

Howard is the main pitcher on the Cambridge-Isanti Blue jackets 10A travel baseball team. He is an incredible pitcher, has great accuracy, and is fearless. He is never once faltered to the pressure of being the lead pitcher. He also has an incredible batting average. He truly loves the sport of baseball and loves his team mates. The entire team is one of a kind. In fact, the Bluejackets 10A team recently took first place in the Duluth tournament and they earned it. Howard puts his heart and soul into baseball, as does his team.

Howard is an all-around great athlete who plays football, basketball and baseball. Though, Howard is one of a kind in baseball. He is a smart, funny and well-mannered young man and he is very eager to learn and play the sport. He is a power house batter and an even better pitcher.

FROM COACH SVIR:
Maddox is such a great player all around! He has faced 74 batters this season, only walked 9, and has a 1.964 ERA.

Maddox is such a pleasant kid to be around. He takes the time after every practice and game to thank every coach. He spends a lot of time working on his pitching and it shows. He deserves to be player of the week.

Clutch Moments for the Win!

"**Midseason Momentum: Mr. Clutch Delivers** As the MYAS season hits its midpoint, one Bulldog entered the weekend tournament swinging a hot bat—coming off a 3-for-3 performance and leading the team with a .421 average, most hits, and most RBIs through 7 regular season games. In Friday’s Burnsville Tournament opener, he sparked the offense with a double and a walk, scoring twice and helping power the Bulldogs to an 11–5 win over River Falls. Saturday’s semifinal told a different story—down 13–2 in the 3rd, the Bulldogs needed life. Enter Mr. Clutch. First, he took a hit-by-pitch, came around to score to spark a rally, later returning to the plate, in the same inning, with runners on and roping a 2-run single to cut it to 10–13. He came through again in the 5th, smashing a 2-out, 2-run double to give the Bulldogs a 14–13 lead. Fittingly, the final out of the game found his glove as he shot it to his teammate—sealing the comeback win and a trip to the championship. As a coach and a dad, it’s not always easy balancing fairness and pride. But this week, #8 William Sampson earned every bit of the “Mr. Clutch” title and Player of the Week honors. I’m proud to coach these Brooklyn Park Bulldogs, we’ve got a great team, great parents and a top notch coaching staff."

William is a quiet player, who always does what he’s asked and has said, “We’ve got the best team, we can beat anyone.” This kind of mentality is only formed because of the league MYAS allows us to play in. We realize bigger games, more competition are out there. But we wouldn’t have moments like this as parents, if organizations like MYAS didn’t exist.

FROM COACH HENRY:
Everett was a force behind the plate this week catching 24 innings, throwing out five runners stealing and making two plays at the plate for outs. Everett displayed his leadership with our pitchers and was the captain of our defense. On top of that he hit .416 for the week in leading his OMGAA Storm 10U AAA team to 2nd place in the Inver Grove Heights Spartan Classic.

Everett is a great athlete and has a passion for the game and competitive fire unlike most 10 year olds. Everett has done an excellent job in response to coaching, hustling on every play, and being a great teammate by supporting his fellow players both on and off the field.

FROM COACH BOHNEN:
Jonah has gone 17 for 21 at the plate, including 12 hits in our tournament alone...4 triples, 4 doubles, and a HR. Scoring 14 runs and batting in 13. He also was the starting pitcher in 2 games, giving up only 2 runs.

Jonah is a sponge! He takes feedback from coaches and processes it, practices it, and implements it. He is a leader on our team and makes everybody on the team better with his attitude and hard work. His stats for this week were incredible, but his hard work and leadership has been even better.

FROM COACH MUELLSTER:
Jaxson batted .444 this week, which included a 2-out, walk-off winning hit! On the mound he threw 4 innings with 4 Ks, surrendering only 2 runs. When not on the mound he was a force behind the plate, throwing out 3 base runners attempting to steal!

Results are starting to come for Jaxson, who put in the work all winter and fall to become a stronger, better baseball player. The team looks to him for leadership and he delivers both at the plate, in the field, and in the dugout.

FROM COACH JOHN BORICH:
It was a tie game in entra innings when #99 Damen Close smacked in a two run home run to seal the victory! He is a player that demonstrates a growth mindset and motivates everyone on the team. He is consistently positive and demonstrates maturity on and off the field.

I love coaching Damen in baseball because he coachable, respectful and genuine! Our team is blessed to have a player like Damen who perseveres through any challenge and shows sportsmanship to opposing teams and always shakes the umpires hand at the end of the game as he thanks them for their time.

Josh was called upon to pitch in the Edina Classic baseball tournament this past weekend. He pitched an almost complete game, struck out 6, walked two, and had 1 earned run. He was also a force at the plate with a bases clearing double, and 5 RBI’s! Because of his performance, our team stamped our ticket to state and made it to the championship game!

He is has become a leader on his team with his work ethic in practice and remaining calm in high pressure situations.

FROM COACH OSBOROUGH:
Batted .667 with 3 2B, 1 HR (1st career HR), 10 R, 6 RBI

Phil has been on a tear the past week and got his first career HR. He is a player always willing to listen, learn and put in the work. He is always a great teammate and does a great job leading by example.

FROM COACH HORN:

Wyatt threw a complete game 1 hitter 5K game last week. He also went 2 for 2 with 3 runs, an RBI and 2 SB

Wyatt is a quiet leader who holds teammates accountable
