From Coach Bruns:
Max was integral in our 2nd place finish at the Sartell Tournament this weekend against great competition!
At the plate, Max produced a .579 avg, 11 hits, 10 RBI's, 12 runs, & 15 total bases. His biggest game came when we were down by 6 in the 4th inning of an elimination game. From the 4th inning, he had 4 RBI's including the walk-off hit to win the game in the 6th!
Max also is one of our best pitchers and played the closer role all weekend. Threw 3.2 innings with a 2 ERA and struck out 6 against the toughest competition in the tourney.
On top of his hitting and pitching, Max showed all weekend why he is one of our best infielders making play after play on the field!
Max is a talented player that leads by example. He picks others up around him with his game play.
We can play Max anywhere on the field and he does his job with a smile on his face.
From Coach Klepsa:
Easton's excellent hitting record and exceptional sponge like catching skills behind the plate has made him standout amongst his teammates. His consistently positive team spirit makes him an ideal candidate for player of the week. He is a true team player and vital part of the team's success.
He always has a funny comeback. He is the fastest slowest runner you will meet. He can play any position.
From Coach Wong:
In 2 games last week, Niam had a 1,000 on base percentage. He went 3 for 3 with 3 walks and 1 hit-by-pitch in 7 plate appearances. He scored 4 runs with 1 stolen base and 2 runs batted in. In 1 inning of relief pitching, he had 3 strikeouts to 1 hit and 1 walk while leaving 1 on base. He works hard to always have quality at-bats to get on base setting the table for his teammates that follow.
Niam is always supporting his teammates with a positive attitude and encouragement on and off the field. He always gives a 100% and models by example. He has fun and enjoys the game while bouncing back quickly from adversity and the challenges baseball brings. In addition to baseball, he golfs, plays basketball, and flag football. In the classroom, he excels academically in the Stillwater GATE program. A stellar student-athlete!
From Coach Mueller:
Cooper was our ace on the mound this week, throwing 6 innings, striking out 3 with a 2.50 ERA. In addition to his dominating stuff on the mound he contributed 4 hits, 7 RBIs and 5 runs at the plate, helping the team go undefeated in league play this week!
Cooper brings a positive attitude and is always the first to volunteer to help a teammate out. He is always upbeat and does what is best for the team.
