Irondale Introduces New Baseball League

The Irondale Baseball League has created its first ever adaptive baseball league for players with disabilities. IBL has created a safe place for youth athletes to learn about the game of baseball, be a part of a team, strengthen social skills, and have fun!

Teams will meet once a week for one hour. During this time, a travel team within our league will pair up with the players to help teach them basic skills, socially interact, and create a fun learning environment. The first 20 minutes of the hour will be designated toward skill building and rotate the players through various stations. The final 40 minutes will be a game where each player will bat, field, and run the bases.

  • Registration Fee: $75
  • Ages: Girls and Boys Pre-K through 5th Grade
  • Duration: Starting first week of June 2025 for 6 weeks
  • Games and Practices: 6 games (1 game a week). First 20 minutes of practice will be learning basics, last 40 minutes will be run like a game. 1 hour in length each week.
  • Each player will receive a jersey and hat with cost of the league
