Congratulations to our Week 2 Players of the Week, presented by Arctic Mechanical!  The players below were nominated for outstanding performances for the week of May 13th-May 19th and voting took place from May 22nd-May 28th.

9AAA - District 1

Jackson H.
Rogers-Otsego

Jackson helped the Rogers team to a 5-1 record on the week, including a championship finish in the Brooklyn Park Invite.  He was a leader at the plate, in the field, and on the mound - hitting .688 with 4 XBH and 6 RBI.  On the mound he struck out 5 over 2 innings of work

10AA - District 1

Andrew A.
Zimmerman

Andrew paced the Zimmerman offense, hitting .625 with 8 RBI. His 8 XBH provided a spark to the line-up.

From the Coach: "Andrew has been a rock at the hot corner and a workhorse behind the plate.  [He] leads the team in batting average, chatter, and sportsmanship."

11A - District 1

Crosby W.
STMA

Crosby had a huge week at the plate with 3 home runs and 12 RBI to pace the STMA offense.  He also struck out 7 hitters over his 6 innings on the mound.

From the coach: "Crosby lead his team this weekend at the Delano Tiger Baseball Bash through consistently accurate pitching, stellar catching and 3 homeruns. One of the homeruns was in the championship game to secure a first place result!"

12AAA - District 1

Max F.
Elk River

Max had a stellar week as the Elk River team competed in the Eagan Classic.  He hit .750  over three games, including two doubles and four triples.  He had a spotless two innings on the mound, with a 0.00 ERA and three strikeouts.

From the coach: "Max is a team player through and through. Understands the game, incredibly coachable and cares about everyone around him."

13AA - District 1

Ryder D.
Sauk Rapids

On the mound this week Ryder struck out four hitters over 6 innings of work, but did his real damage at the plate.  He had 8 hits in 12 at-bats, including two doubles and a home run! His 10 RBI paced the Sauk Rapids offense.

From the coach: "Ryder has been an all-around solid player for us this year. Ryder's calm demeanor on the mound and smooth swing at the plate make him an offensive threat every time he is on the field. Off the field, Ryder has put in a lot of work to improve his baseball talent. His work ethic and love of the game is showing him that hard work pays off. "

14AAA - District 1

Will M.
Buffalo

Will was an all-around tone setter for Buffalo last week, getting it done both at the plate and on the mound.  He hit .500 on the week, with eight hits and 7 RBI.  On the mound he struck out 7 hitters over 7 innings to the tune of a 2.00 ERA.

From the coach: "Will is the ultimate teammate. Works hard at everything he does, yet is still extremely coach able. Hits for average because he’s never satisfied and is always working to get better. "

14/15A - District 1

Mitch W.
Rogers

In their opening two games, Mitch had a hand in helping the team to an undefeated week.  His 5 hits and 5 RBI led the offense with a .714 batting average. He was even better on the mound, striking out 14 hitters over 7.1 innings of work.

From the coach: "Mitch's bat heated up the past week over 2 games and his pitching helped us to a 1-0-1 record over the week. Mitch is a great teammate, always encouraging his fellow players."
