SAINT MICHAEL, MN - MYAS and the Ronald McDonald House teamed up to collect donations at tournament sites all across the metro. Throughout the April 20-21 weekend, fans, players, and coaches donated hundreds of items to the RMHC. From supplies like paper towels, paper plates, and solo cups to food items like fruit snacks and granola bars, the collection effort was able to bring in a wide variety of much-needed items for the Ronald McDonald House.

MYAS also partnered with a number of Ronald McDonald House volunteers to help staff and organize the donation tables. The volunteers also helped share with tournament-goers all the good work that the RMHC does and ways in which they could continue to support the foundation in the future.

All in all, the collection drive was a fruitful effort for all involved parties. MYAS looks forward to continuing its partnership with the Ronald McDonald House and to finding even more partners who continually give back to the community at future tournaments and events throughout the year.

There was also a lot of good happening on the basketball court, with another competitive and successful weekend of hoops. Eagan HS, Lakeville North HS, Robert Boeckman MS, St. Michael-Albertville HS, Two Rivers HS, and Wayzata HS all played host to one of the biggest weekends on the MYAS Spring Basketball Series calendar. Hundreds of teams engaged in great competition throughout the weekend.

The tournament saw 10 girls divisions from 3rd grade up through 10th grade and 18 boys divisions from 3rd grade to 12th grade competing against some of the largest fields of the spring season. Multiple divisions hosted 8+ teams, giving teams more games than a majority of the Spring Series weekends.

MYAS congratulates all of the tournament champions from this past weekend and thanks all the programs who participated. MYAS also would like to give a special thank you to everyone who made donations this weekend, making the Ronald McDonald House collection drive another great success. We look forward to seeing everyone competing throughout the remainder of the Gopher State Spring Basketball Series in the build-up to the Spring State Championships in June!
