Over $60,000 Awarded in 2023

The momentum of the MYAS Community Impact Fund continues as 2023 comes to a close!

The MYAS would like to thank all the individuals, organizations, and companies that have contributed to the Community Impact Fund during 2023, as the Impact Fund continues to assist athletes, families, individuals, and youth sports associations opportunities through youth sports. During 2023, we’ve raised over $50,000 via a Vikings pre-sale fundraisers; first pitch giveaways; Jack Pavlick memorial donations; Running Aces Youth Sports Night race packet sales; Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce donation; 3M Open Fund contribution; MYAS Charitable Gambling operations donation; as well as individual donations. These proceeds have enabled MYAS to contribute over $60,000 in scholarships to the youth sports associations, youth sports teams, and individuals .

As we entered the final month of 2023, we were excited to announce a second round of contributions to 16 youth baseball, basketball and football associations through the 2023 Fall MYAS Community Impact Fund Youth Sports Association Scholarships. This round of contributions has been made possible by a donation from MYAS Charitable Gambling operations. Scholarship recipients must reside or be located in Chanhassen, Bloomington, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and their contiguous municipalities.

Youth sports associations had the opportunity to request funding based on the following criteria established for the MYAS Community Impact Fund:

  • Scholarship opportunities for individuals, teams, and youth athletic associations and organizations through MYAS programming (tournaments, leagues, and events)

    • MYAS Rising Stars Sports Academy individual registrations, association/community team entry fees, support for community associations that need funding for scholarships inside their association/community.

  • Funding for associations/communities that provide opportunities for youth through sport (urban and rural)

  • Funding for organizations to utilize the Trusted Coaches platform (training, screening, and education for youth volunteer coaches)

  • Funding for individuals to gain training, screening, and education through our Trusted Officials live and online training opportunities (powered by Arbiter Sports) and for necessary equipment to officiate/umpire
