MYAS, Inc., is excited to announce the addition of 3 new fall football offerings in 2023. These team and individual offerings will provide the participants of the youth tackle football community based season a great supplement to league play. All events will be held at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN.
On September 1-2, The MYAS Youth Football Preview will be an event for community-based youth football teams, both 9-man and 11-man teams, grades 5-8, to play exhibition style scrimmages against teams not seen during their regular season schedule. Teams will each get 3 - 25 minute running time scrimmages against teams that, when possible, do not originate from their same league.
On October 19th, the MYAS Rising Stars Academy in collaboration with Quarterback Football Training and Flexx Football will be hosting a combine and skills challenge for players grades 4-8 who originate from community-based youth football associations. These players will have an opportunity to be tested in multiple combine drills, including 40-yard dash, vertical jump, and broad jump. An on-site leaderboard will keep track of the best scores of the day.
Participants will also take part in a Skills Competition that includes position challenges such as WR vs DB, RB vs LB, OL vs DL.
The top finishers of the Combine/Skills Competition will be recognized during the Rising Stars Showcase Games on October 21. An added feature of this event include: Each participant will take home a personalized performance analysis from the combine, as well as Combine swag and a complimentary lunch is included in the experience.
In connection with the combine, on October 19-21, 6th-8th grade players originating from community-based teams and nominated by their coaches, will participate in the inaugural MYAS Rising Stars Football Showcase. The intent is to hold a culminating event to celebrate the 2023 community-based youth tackle football season, by recognizing top players from leagues across Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. This amplified and elevated experience includes participation in the combine, opening ceremonies and team meet n greet on the 19th, followed by a day of team bonding and practice sessions, with the culmination of Showcase games on October 21.
In addition to player nominations, coaches from recognized leagues will be nominated by their league representatives to be a part of the Showcase coaching staffs for each age grade level as well.
