Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS) is excited to announce that Associate Director, Jeremy Innes, has accepted an elevated role inside the organization. He will be focusing on direct oversight of the operations of MYAS foundational departments (baseball, basketball, wrestling & swimming).

“Jeremy has been a dedicated member of the MYAS since 2002. He has a two-decade track record administering high quality youth sports tournaments, leagues, and events in collaboration with MYAS team members during his professional career. He has created successful new programs/brands which our organization has maintained and enhanced to positively impact our youth sports participants,” MYAS Executive Director, Dawson Blanck said. “Jeremy has been a colleague of mine since 2002, and I know the work ethic, passion, and drive that he has to fulfill our mission as an organization, and the high standards he expects our organization to deliver to the youth sports community. As the strategic planning process and development of the new organizational chart has taken shape, I discussed this expanded role with Jeremy as the administration and evaluation of current programming has been designated as a strategic focus for MYAS. Under Jeremys’ direction, I am confident our program operations will greatly benefit and positively impact youth sports participants across the state of Minnesota, in partnership with the Minnesota youth community-based sports community.”

Since joining the staff 20 years ago, Jeremy's primary duties at the MYAS have been focused on the wrestling and basketball programs. Key MYAS programs and brands created under Jeremy’s leadership include the Rising Stars Basketball Showcase, Midwest Wrestling Tour, and other specialty events inside basketball. Additionally, over the past two years, he has helped guide the baseball department and has built up the infrastructure of the Minnesota Youth Baseball Alliance. His program and brand expertise have certainly played a significant role in the growth of the MYAS—creating thousands of exceptional participation experiences for youth athletes across Minnesota and the bordering states.

Jeremy Innes on his new role inside MYAS: “I am extremely excited for this new endeavor. It affords me an incredible opportunity to lead, guide, and mentor the staff coordinating our foundational tournaments, leagues and specialty events in the sports of basketball, baseball, swimming, and wrestling. As always, our mission and focus are committed to providing the best participation experience possible.

“In this new role, I hope to:

  • Equip the program staff with the tools they need to provide superior youth sports administration inside the sports we serve;
  • Create consistency from one program to another;
  • Ensure that MYAS events are executed at the highest standard of excellence that ensures a safe, positive, and productive experience for Minnesota’s youth sports participants.

“Our organization has assembled a great team who are passionate about youth sports and specifically the mission of the MYAS. With my experience and ability to create and run successful events, I am confident that, together, we will be able to amplify and elevate the experience for our participants.

“Truly, the thing I have enjoyed most while working at MYAS is the opportunity to act as an entrepreneur with the backing, safety net, and resources of the MYAS. That is what keeps it challenging and fun. I also take a lot of pride in providing positive experiences for the families that choose to participate in our events. It is a great feeling when an event goes well, knowing you helped provide the families with an experience that they will look back on in a positive way.”
