Fall League Details

The Gopher State Fall Baseball League will once again offer two divisions, Competitive and Recreational.  The Competitive Division will have a new hybrid tournament format while continuing to play two games each Sunday.  The Rec Division will play the traditional Sunday double-headers.  

Players can register as individual free agents. Individual players can register with friend requests to be placed on the same team.

Teams can register if they have a minimum of nine players.  Players are not bound to an association and players from multiple organizations may combine to make a team.

Age Cut-off

The Gopher State Fall Baseball League gives players a chance to get a jump on next year's field distances and playing rules.  Players should register an age level UP from their summer team, as the age cut-off is May 1st, 2024.  For example:

Player turns 10 years old prior to 5/1/2024, the player should register for the 10u Competitive or 10/11u Recreational division.

Fall League Schedule

Individual Registration

$120 / Player
Optional Player Evaluation - $30
Evaluations are conducted by an independent group. They will be used for the following:
1. Place players in appropriate divisions.
2. Provide players with feedback they can use for development.
3. Possible advanced fall opportunities.

No refunds will be issued after the entry deadline.

Fall League hat and jersey provided for those registering as individuals.
 

Team Registration

$1,210 per team ($110/player w/ 11 players)
9 player minimum to register as a team

Teams MUST provide a field ($100 additional charge if field is not listed).

Fall League hat provided for ALL players.
Game balls and scorebook provided to teams.

Jerseys
Players can wear their summer jersey (represent your home team if combining associations), or teams can create their own!

No refunds will be issued after the entry deadline.


Competitive Division

AA/AAA Level Players / Teams

9U / 10U / 11U / 12U / 13U / 14U / 15U / 16U / 17-19U

New in 2023 - the Competitive Divisions will play a hybrid tournament format!  Districts will be divided by geography and the first four games (in-district) will serve as pool play for tiered brackets in week 4.

Week 1: In-District Pool Play Games (2 Games)
Week 2: In-District Pool Play Games (2 Games)
Week 3: In-District Double-Header (2 Games)
Week 4: Tiered Brackets (2 Games)

Bracket Play
Cross district match-ups to create competitive brackets. 
Example: 12u Division has two districts - the top two teams from each district (based on four pool play games) will create the top bracket. 

OR

Most competitive bracket relative to geography.

 

Rec Division

Sunday Double-Headers - Teams play two games each Sunday.
