Baseball Coaches' Conference

The Gopher State Baseball League Coaches' Conference in conjunction with the Play Ball MN! Baseball/Softball Conference brings beginning and experienced coaches from the Gopher State Baseball League & other youth baseball organizations to learn new ways to teach their athletes the skills they will need to succeed. This coaches' training is now a service the MYAS baseball staff provides for all Head Coaches as entry into the Gopher State Baseball League. The 2010 conference has been set for April 24, 2010 at the new Target Field.

Gopher State Winter Camps are open to athletes of all skill levels and ages. Our featured camps offer top notch professional instruction with a variety of camps to choose from during the baseball off-season.


Gopher State Baseball League (GSBL)

Gopher State Baseball League (GSBL)

In 1999, the MYAS, Inc. created the GSBL, which is a summer traveling baseball league designed for players 9-19 years old. The league consists of a 16-game regular season (9u-14u) and a 14-game regular season (15u-17/19u) with an all inclusive playoff at the end of the season. The league offers many unique features including coaches controlling everything from determining rules and policies to scheduling their own games as well as berths given to a USSSA World Series and the Gopher State Tournament of Champions. In 2009, GSBL nation had 410 teams competing in the league, making this past season the largest in the decade history of the GSBL.

Are you tired of spending your entire weekend at baseball fields for three-day baseball tournaments? The Gopher State Spring Invitationals(now "2-Day GSTC Qualifiers") are designed so that families can get some of their early season weekend back.

NEW FOR 2010! Gopher State Spring Training Series is an April Spring League that will be offered on April 11, 18 & 25 and acts as an early season tune-up or spring training for all 10-15 year old AAA and AA traveling teams. It allows teams an opportunity to play live games against other teams that will help prepare them for the start of the regular season. The league is a six game (doubleheaders each Sunday) guarantee with berths given to the 2010 Gopher State Tournament of Champions based on records at the end of league play.

Gopher State Tournament of Champions

The Gopher State Tournament of Champions (GSTC) is a premier event for teams from Minnesota as well as other states in the Upper Midwest. The MYAS baseball staff brings together the best teams in the state and five state region to play against the best competition, not just the same teams you have played all season. The champions of this tournament will receive custom made Gopher State Tournament of Champions (GSTC) rings. Each player on the championship team will receive a personalized ring, complete with their name, number and team record.

Gopher State Umpire Training Clinics

We are looking for a great Umpire training in 2010! Dates are set for this years clinics. We have the best umpires and umpire instructors leading out in our Gopher State Umpire Clinics. Last year over 500 umpires received very valuable training from some of the best umpires in the upper Midwest. NEW FOR 2010, will be the Advanced Umpire Training for the veteran/seasoned umpire, Advanced Clinics will begin in March. Stay posted to the Umpire Clinic home page for more information.


Gopher State/USSSA Fall Baseball League

Gopher State/USSSA Fall Baseball League

The USSSA Sanctioned Fall Baseball League services youth who want to continue to play baseball after the summer season ends. In 2009, the GSFBL has over 3,200 players participating making up to 263 teams competing in the competitive and the recreational leagues.


Minnesota USSSA Baseball

Minnesota USSSA Baseball

In 2004, the MYAS became the administrative service agent for USSSA, which is the 2nd largest baseball organization in the country. The USSSA State Baseball Championships, a USSSA sanctioned event, provides an opportunity for teams to earn a berth to a designated USSSA World Series/National Tournament as well as the Gopher State Tournament of Champions. The 2009 Minnesota USSSA baseball program registered over 1,000 teams and is currently ranked in the top 20 nationally.


North Star Baseball League

North Star Baseball League

The North Star Baseball League consists of community In-House teams that have interest in mixing their schedules with other surrounding communities. In 2009 81 teams competed in the North Star. Look for 2010 information to be posted in January.


Rec State Baseball Championships

Rec State Baseball Championships

The Rec State Baseball Championships is designed for "Non-traveling" or Recreational teams only. This one of a kind state tournament is a great chance for teams to play in a big time tournament atmosphere and end their season like champions.


USSSA Global Sports Baseball

USSSA Global Sports Baseball

Global Sports will offer multiple World Series Qualifiers in the Midwest and World Series events in July. Global Sports will provide more teams an opportunity to play in a World Series event within a reasonable driving distance. Global Sports World Series will have a 7 game guarantee. Because of the growth of USSSA Baseball, there is a greater demand for events than USSSA can supply. USSSA created this opportunity for teams to stay closer to home and create life long experiences without the long distance travel and additional funds spent.
