MYAS Gopher State Girls Division
We have added a Girls Division for the 2012 Gopher State Nationals. This will allow girls to wrestle only girls. Simply register for the girls division and list your projected weight.
Girls in the Girls Division will be grouped within 3 years and within 12% weight differences.
Girls have the option to register for the girls division or with the boys and girls mixed divisions.
We are hoping to get each girl a minimum of 3 matches. If we do not get enough girls registered by the entry deadline the girls will have the option to wrestle with the boys or collect a refund.
The MYAS Gopher State Wrestling Nationals has earned the reputation of being the toughest and best run K-8 folkstyle tournament in Minnesota. In 2011 we had 1,000 wrestlers. The tournament has drawn wrestlers from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, Louisianna, Colorado, Wyoming and California. Wrestlers from all states are eligible to participate in all Gopher State wrestling events.
The 2012 Gopher State Nationals is scheduled for February 11-12. The tournament will once again be held at Monticello High School, which is quite possibly the best wrestling facility in the state. The Girls Division will wrestle on Saturday.
