The MYAS baseball staff would like to thank you for choosing to play in the 2011 MN USSSA/Gopher State Mid-Summer Classic. This tournament acts as a USSSA National Tournament and Gopher State Tournament of Champions (GSTC) qualifying event. Each team participating in the Gopher State Mid-Summer Classic will automatically receive "Double Points" towards the GSTC. This letter is intended to provide you with important details prior to the event. Tournament schedules are subject to change, please keep checking our website www.myas.org for any changes to the tournament.

Roster Information:
It is required by the USSSA National Headquarters that all rosters be inputted into the USSSA database before the start of tournament play. We ask that all participating teams enter your team roster in the Coaches Control Center portion of the MYAS website no later than Tuesday, June 14th at 11:59 pm!

If your team participates in the Gopher State Baseball League, your roster should already be on file. Be sure to use the username and password that is connected to the team that is registered for the 2011 Gopher State Mid-Summer Classic. Do not create a new team, please use the team already on file. If you have any questions about inputting your roster into the Coaches Control Center or need verification of your username and password, please email one of the members of the MYAS baseball staff. For additional information, please see the “Online Roster Instructions” document attached to the email that was sent to you on June 10.

It is imperative that your roster is inputted by Tuesday, June 14th!

Items to Bring for Check-In:

A copy of your online roster (simply print the roster from the MYAS website)
Proof of age for players (see tournament rules for proper birth identification)
Team gate fee ($150), you will give this fee to the Tournament Director at Team Check-in.

Check-In:
You or an adult representative (team manager) must check your team in at the designated Tournament Headquarters prior to playing your first game. Teams will be withheld from competition until they have completed the pre-event check-in process. Your Tournament Headquarters are listed below for your convenience.

Schedules, Maps and Rules:
Schedules, maps and rules are now available online at www.myas.org in the Gopher State Mid-Summer Classic portion of the MYAS website. When you arrive at the MYAS home page, simply click on the blue baseball tab, then select the Gopher State Mid-Summer Classic in the tournament section. From there you can select your weekend and find your age and division with all of the pertinent information for the event. If your tournament is utilizing additional sites which are not at your designated headquarters, those maps will also be available where you retrieve your schedule on the website.

Rules are also posted online under the Document section (left hand side of page) where your tournament info is located on the website. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be familiar with the tournament rules before your first game.

Gate Fee:
Please remember that your team gate fee ($150) is due to the host association before your first game of the tournament. This money goes directly to the local association for hosting the tournament.

Weather Information:
Please call your specific Tournament Director first! This is the MYAS representative located at Tournament Headquarters. In case of rain or inclement weather, log onto www.myas.org in the Gopher State Mid-Summer Classic portion of the website in order to determine if your game has been cancelled, postponed or rescheduled. Schedule changes will be posted on our website at www.myas.org whenever possible.

MYAS Refund Policy:

Teams dropping out of a tournament after the entry deadline will NOT receive a refund.
If a tournament should have to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. weather, loss of electricity, etc.) a prorated portion of your entry fee will be returned based on the number of games played.
If a tournament is cancelled, with no games played, due to any of the above reasons, teams can elect a 75% refund of their entry fee or have 100% of their entry fee applied to a future MYAS event.
